our studio
Studio Masala is an all inclusive studio, with a commitment to remain grounded in rich traditional teachings as well as infused with modern modalities.
The combination of the two which is embodied deeply through the practice within the studio supports both the physical and mental well-being of all who walk through the doors.
Studio Masala’s intention is to create a safe space to practice with devotion, to soften the mind, reconnecting back in with the body and breath.
Studio Masala has been birthed for the community, a pocket of complete non-judgment and unconditional love in Lennox Head.
Sophia the founder and teacher believes it is her mission in this incarnation to help guide people home to themselves through the devotional practice of yoga.

Rising Flow
Rising Flow is an energising morning practice designed to open your body and mind to the day ahead. Blending elements of Vinyasa and Hatha yoga, this curated flow guides you from the thinking body into the feeling body, using breath and movement to ground and energise. It’s a mindful practice to wake up with the sun, preparing yourself to fully embrace the day ahead.
Yin and Yoga Nidra is a deeply restorative class that combines gentle Yin yoga with the meditative practice of Yoga Nidra. Starting with Yin, you'll hold floor-based poses for extended periods to release tension, increasing the flow of Chi within the body. This slow, grounding practice prepares your body for Yoga Nidra—a guided meditation that encourages deep relaxation and inner stillness. Perfect for unwinding, this class will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed, and reconnected to your inner calm.
Yin
Yin and Yoga Nidra
Yin combines gentle, restorative poses held for longer durations to release deep-seated tension and enhance flexibility. As your body relaxes, you’ll be guided into a meditative state, creating space for introspection and deep relaxation. Perfect for anyone seeking rest and rejuvenation, Yin invites you to slow down, let go, allow your body to move into the depths it needs to without control and reconnect with your inner stillness.
